ESIK Football: Korpen Season 2026

The 2026 season is over, and what a ride it has been!

Ericsson IK Blue finished in 4th place , while Ericsson IK Red finished 7th . Looking only at the final table doesn't tell the whole story. Both teams got stronger as the season went on and played some really good football in the second half of the season.

Of course, we cannot talk about this season without mentioning the two Ericsson derbies.

Round 1: Red took the bragging rights with a hard-fought 1-0 win .

Round 2: Blue remembered that result all summer and returned the favor with a rather convincing 7-0 victory.

Let's call it "balanced over the season."

The final games summed up the season well. Red finished with a 2-2 draw , unfortunately conceding in the very last seconds. Blue finished 1-1 , which was just enough to secure a well-deserved 4th place .

The numbers also show the progress:

Red Team: from 0.57 points per game in the first half of the season to 1.25 points per game in the second half.
Blue Team: from 0.57 points per game to an impressive 1.88 points per game .

But more important than points, goals, and league positions was seeing so many players enjoying football again. There were ups and downs, great goals, missed chances, and questionable referee decisions.

A big thank you to everyone who played and helped organize the season.

Well done Ericsson! Enjoy the off-season, recover those tired legs, and let's come back even stronger next year!
